This is a delightful medium bodied Shiraz sourced from a vineyard not far from our own vineyard at Axedale. Dark fruits of blackberry, plum and cherry with soft spices of black pepper. A lovely balance of fruit, acidity and tannins.

MAKER’S NOTES
Handpicked fruit, destemmed and fermented with wild yeast in open pots over 3 weeks, with daily pump overs and hand plunging as ferment slowed. Pressed and settled in tank and racked to barrel where it rested on fine lees over winter in seasoned oak casks. Racked in early summer, post malolactic fermentation and bottled with a small sulphur addition.
